Booya Book Review--Centaur Legacy by Nancy Straight

Centaur Legacy (Touched #2)Centaur Legacy by Nancy Straight
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Isn't this cover pretty!!!

Nancy Straight has become one of my favorite authors as well as a dear friend. I had the opportunity to read an advanced copy of Centaur Legacy, and I was glued to the page throughout the book.

Sometimes multiple points of view are hard to follow, but Nancy has done a fantastic job of helping the reader keep track.

I just finished my second read, yes this book is that good, and I loved it even more this time.

The story begins where we left off with Blood Debt. I loved the Strayer family from the beginning and we get to see more of Beau this time around. All I have to say is Nancy knows how to write Noble. Since in this world there are more centaurs than centaurides, it's difficult for the centaurs to find a wife.

The whole idea of the centaur is romantic. It sort of reminds me of the Aurthurian legends with knights and damsels. That being said, the women in this story are not weak. They have powers that are important to the race, and each one of them is treasured.

Beau has become one of my favorite characters in this series and his story is heartwarming.

Cami and Drake are more like star-crossed lovers, not able to catch a break. They make a great couple and I loved following them through this story. Cami is strong and knows what she wants, while Drake is loyal and cares so much for her.

The twists in the story will keep you on the edge of your seat. I loved how much Cami and Drake committed to each other. Although they face insurmountable odds, they tackle the problems together.

We get to know more about the centaur legends and how the gods interact with the centaurs in the modern world. This is a must read series by an amazing author. I can't wait to read the next book, and I'm looking forward to see how Nancy is going to resolve that cliffhanger. The wait's going to kill me!

  1. i'm glad you liked it and I will try it as I am obsessed about books with centaurs in it.

I just read Sagitarius the Fall of the Centaur by Philip Vago and the storyline follows the centaur as they try to survive and stave off the genocide of their race by treacherous man. it sounds cliche, but I found it entertaining since there aren't many books that tackle Centaur's as a main race / character.

  2. Thanks, Jack! I haven't seen many books about Centaurs either, so thanks for the recommendation! Make sure you start with Blood Debt, which, last time I checked was free for ebook!

Thanks for stopping by and for commenting, Jack!
