Giveaway/Review/Interview--Rebecca Hamilton

Rebecca Hamilton is one of the nicest people you will ever meet.  I happened to answer one of her tweets about unscrambling a word to win the Forever Girl, and she replied quickly.  She was such a pleasure to interact with that I quickly wanted to become her friend.  I have to say that I have not regretted that decision, and I likely never will.  She is ginuine and deep and if you get a chance to interact with her, I encourage you to do so.

Not only is Rebecca a great person, she is also an amazing writer.  I started the Forever Girl right after I got it, and I couldn't put it down.  It's a must read for all you Vampire fanatics out there, not to mention those of you who have lost your love for the vampire genre.  Her mythology is one of the most original I have seen, and the mystery behind the Forever Girl kept me questioning throughout the story.  The ending was amazing and made me want more NOW.  LOL.  See my review below.

So on to the interview:

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
I love shoes, chocolate, wine, and books.
What do you do when you are not writing?
I am a homeschooling mom to three amazing children.
Do you have a day job as well?
I work nights, but I’m trying to move away from that and focus solely on my writing and publishing.
Do you ever experience writer’s block?
I get rewriters block. Writing and editing are easy for me, but that part in between where you have to rip the story apart and piece it back together again? Yeah, that part kills me. It’s overwhelming. I worry I might mess something up and not be able to fix it, or fix one problem but create another.
Is there any particular author or book that influenced you in any way either growing up or as an adult?
Nancy Pickard is a huge inspiration to me. I love her writing style and her story telling skills.  Reading her books has taught me a lot about creative writing, especially in terms of POV an mystery, that I would not have learned in any instructional book.
How did you come up with the title?
I suck at things like that. I actually owe the title to Gerald Johnston, an amazing horror writer I met in a critique group years ago. He came up with the title.
Is there anything that you would like to say to your readers and fans?
 You are too good to me.
Which character speaks the loudest, to you? Do any of them clamor to be heard over the others?
My side characters had a way of demanding not to be side characters.
As a child, what did you want to do when you grew up?
I think the question is, what didn’t I want to be. I thought I would have enough time to be a lawyer and an actress and a psychologist all in one day. I still tend to live my life as though there are more hours in the day than there actually are.

The Forever Girl has been widely popular with most readers which comes as no surprise to me.  A few months back, I reviewed The Forever Girl, and my view of the book hasn't changed.  It is such a breath of fresh air where vampire books are concerned.  Hamilton created a whole caste system of creatures from vampires to shape shifters that are imaginative and real.  I was so engrossed in this tale that I gasped, laughed, cried, and swooned.  If you are on the fence about reading this book, I invite you to sample a few pages.  If you are like me, you will be swept away by a story rich in character as well as setting.  Rebecca is such a sweet person, too.  If you get a chance, you should stop by on twitter and say hi.  If you couldn't guess, I rated this one five stars.
